Attractive design possibilities in the foreground to middle ground of any aquarium are offered by the "greened" slate rocks with Aegagropila pads. Aegagropila, also known as Moss Ball, is a green alga found in compact growth in Eastern Europe and East Asia. The water-neutral slate stones are a German natural product from the northern Eifel, where traditionally roofs, gables and facades are covered with it. In aquaristics, slate stones are considered an interesting alternative to other decorative stones because of their particularly flat shape. A particularly harmonious design is achieved with a group of 3 or 5 Aegagropila Slate Rocks.Tip: If the stones become heavily mulched, they can be easily removed from the substrate and the green pads cleaned well under a jet of water.
