Microsorum pteropus

Info

For many aquarium inhabitants retreat areas are very important and only enable their species-appropriate attitude.
To grow well, the java fern requires natural substrates of wood or stone as in its natural habitat.  These plants, as rheophytes and with their strong root system, are firmly anchored on roots or stones at fast-flowing waters and cascades. Half coconut shells with an "entrance" are very popular. In combination with the emerging plant Microsorum pteropus, the coconut half looks particularly decorative.
