A classic among aquarium plants is the stem plant Rotala rotundifolia. The species name refers to the round leaf shape of the submerged leaves. The submerged leaves are long oval and already exhibit a wonderful color under normal lighting. Intensive lighting, high iron content and micronutrients, however, create a beautiful, red display of color in the aquarium! Rotala rotundifolia can be cut to shape very well. An attractive, colorful highlight in any underwater landscape.
