Microsorum is a very variable species with many different leaf varieties. In addition to broad-leaved forms, there are varieties with very narrow leaf blades. The variety 'Narrow Leaf' refers to the 1-2 cm wide leaves, which with a length of 20-30 cm is rather smaller than the stem form. Like all Microsorum species, the plant grows best on stone and especially on root wood. Because of its graceful growth, this variety is found quite often in larger layouts of aquascaping artists. Of course, the narrow-leaved java fern also works well in a normal aquarium.
