Anubias barteri

Info

The overgrown mangrove root with Anubias barteri is one of the most popular decorative items in our range. The strong root network of the Anubias barteri finds optimal support on the richly textured surface of the Asian wood.

Antenna catfish (Ancistrus sp.) also love the mangrove root, it is even vital, because the cellulose is needed for the intestinal function of the antenna catfish. Tree trunks or branches in their natural habitat fall into the water and are then scraped off as a source of cellulose. In our aquarium we take care of the health of the catfish - and that still with a beautiful plant as a highlight on the root wood!care of the health of the catfish - and that still with a beautiful plant as a highlight on the root wood!
